More students with an autism spectrum disorder gravitate toward STEM majors (science, technology, engineering and math) than other students. But they have low college admission rates because of gender, finances and other barriers, finds a new study co-authored by Paul Shattuck, PhD, assistant professor at the Brown School.

More than $1.1 million recently funneled to WUSTL scientists through the Bear Cub program has helped move university technologies into the marketplace. To encourage entrepreneurship, the Bear Cub program now provides more hands-on support and incorporates other changes to streamline the application process. One-page applications are due Dec. 10.
